Work Hard. Play Hard. Look Fabulous.
The school year means lots of late nights (studying in the library, of course) followed by early morning classes. Our college survival kit will make it look like you got your beauty sleep, even when you didn’t go to bed until the sun came up.

9/11 - Never Forget.
Reblog to show respect to all those who died.
if you don’t have this on your blog today… what is wrong with you?
R.I.P To everyone who lost their lives in 9/11, I pray for everyone who lost someone that horrible day, and I pray for our nation, we need to come together. Make the US better and safer for everyone. <3
bless them for letting baby girl keep her heritage
I peep them braids and that dress
I was just thinking this. She actually takes the children back to visit their family in their home country and they study about their own cultures. She isn’t one of those white people trying to assimilate her non-white children.
She doesn’t use her kids as props and accessories, and she loves and cherishes them all equally it looks like.
Not to mention how she lets John (Shiloh prefers to be called John) dress and act how they like
Also, I’m pretty sure her wedding dress has her kids’ drawings on it, which is just unbelievably adorable.
We live our lives afraid of the mistakes we’ve made. We’re afraid of the people we might become. We’re afraid of our failures and so we’ve become content with our mediocrity. We make excuses about the places we came from and the things we can’t change. We’ve settled for good. We’ve stopped fighting for great.
You know when you look in the mirror, and you think, ‘Ugh, I’m so fat, I’m so old, I’m so ugly’, don’t you know that’s not your authentic self, but that is billions upon billions of dollars of advertising, magazines, movies, billboards, all geared to make you feel shitty about yourself so that you will take your hard-earned money and spend it on some turnaround cream that doesn’t turnaround shit.
When you don’t have self-esteem, you will hesitate before you do anything in your life. You will hesitate to go for the job you really wanna go for. You will hesitate to ask for a raise. You will hesitate to defend yourself when you are discriminated against because of your race, your sexuality, your size, your gender. You will hesitate to vote. You will hesitate to dream.
For us to have self-esteem is truly an act of revolution. And our revolution is long-overdue.
Intimacy is one of my most favorite reasons to be alive. And I don’t just mean the physical aspect it leads to. I mean the number of stories and jokes, and the level of honesty and compassion that lead to the point where I can trust you with my entire body. I’ve come to realize that I constantly hunger for spiritual intimacy – the kind where when I breathe you in, it sets my lungs on fire. The kind where you can look me in the eye and make me feel completely bare.
